For those who already know, I got to see a lot of policemen who opened my computers to analyze data found on those but as far as today, nothing really interesting was found.
More than that, I just don’t have any news anymore.
First, I’d like to thank everyone who’ve been trying to cheer me up, even today, more than one year after this post. Yeah, police told me to go to see them one day, and just kept me, took my computers and analyzed those. I was lucky enough to get them back in the end (if that weren’t the case I’d be doomed, what can someone do when his life is taken from him?), but … Right now I still don’t know what happened, and what exactly police was searching (I heared about « Data », and I know whose, but that’s all, nobody told me anything more).
So, right now I still don’t know how the procedure is doing, and what’s going to happen to me. I don’t even know if I’m still the target of investigations…
One thing I’m sure of is about the last time. I was taken as I was suspected of hacking a website and taking it down. Policemen showed me raw HTTP logs, and told me something like « This line has the word “POST” written in it, that mean you modified the website, right ? » … I guess the procedure misses real expertise.
So anyway I don’t have definitive proof I didn’t do anything, but they don’t have definitive proof I did anything. Just because I had interest in past work’s websites (and I still do) and my IP was found in the logs, it means I should go through the trouble of not able to get to work during (up to) 48 hours, and stay with my computers in a police headquarters.
Oh, and just for people who might get annoyed by reading this post, I’m not writing this to annoy you, but to let other people know what happens to me, and what to expect if one day I just stop “existing” on Internet. And by the way any help is welcome as always. Cheerful messages helped me staying in France, and not trying to go again to some country to let things cool down.
And a last note : who would be stupid enough to hack a system with his own IP ? There’s pleintly of open proxies in this world, ready to let you hack anything while being anonymous. If I really wanted to hack this websites, I wouldn’t visit it from times to times, and I wouldn’t be in this situation right now.

My Geek tu m’as presque impressionné.
